meyer.science GmbH offers consulting on all issues concerning cosmetics, starting with the composition of substances and ranging to labelling and advertising matters.

We examine your formulations within the framework of Regulation 1223/2009, especially with regard to specifically regulated ingredients such as preservatives, UV filters, allergenic fragrances as well as with regard to the requirements for natural cosmetics.

As regards the labelling of cosmetic products, we assist you from A (allergens) to W (warning notices). We prepare and revise draft labels and advise you on the selection of suitable INCI designations in order to ensure that your products are safely and correctly labelled.

We advise you throughout the development and/or use of new ingredients for cosmetics and the design of new products, especially as regards definition issues vis-à-vis pharmaceutical products and the question of the novelty of ingredients. Careful scientific clarification in advance helps to prevent subsequent complaints. We also conduct scientific research on ingredients and evaluate existing studies on the relevant substances.

We also clarify for you through a risk assessment whether withdrawals or recalls of cosmetics are necessary due to analysed allergenic fragrances, microbiological impurities or contaminants (such as benzene or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons).
